About Akkodis
Akkodis is a golobal tech and engineering leader in technology solutions firm focused on helping clients accelerate innovation by offering comprehensive tech and engineering expertise, end-to-end talent management services, and developing smart sustainable solutions to gain a competitive edge.
At the time, Akkodis (Formerly Modis) had recently acquired Akka and our new name as Akkodis had no brand recognition. Within our current market, there were two main challenges. First, there was a lack of brand awareness for Modis and Akkodis despite of a strong percent of market share. Secondly, this was not a community engaged market and we were not an active part of the community when I fist transitioned into a Business Development role.
The Event
The main focus of the event was to increase brand awareness among leaders of the local tech community. The event was unstructured socializing and networking and we brought in a professional photographer to take professional headshots. The Event had light appetizers and drinks and was hosted at a local art gallery with an interactive exhibit. This was the first Akkodis hosted event in the local market and we gathered roughly 40 local Director and C-Level leaders.
My Role
I initially brought the idea to leadership on my first day as a Business Development Manager and lead every aspect of the event from idea creation through day of set up. My responsibilities included:
Event creation, planning, and end to end execution
Venue and vendor identification and management
Budget allocation & ROI expectations
Marketing and content creation
Team leadership and coordination

This event kickstarted the Akkodis' brand awareness in the Austin market, my foothold as a Business Development Manager and Community Engagement leader, and led to the following tangible results:
9 of our attendees have become Champions for our brand - promoting us at industry events and referring us into potential clients from their network.
Forged the beginning of deep relationships which have led to 3 consulting opportunities and 1 MSA.
Event marketing campaign led to 12+ meetings from prospects that could not attend, but were eager to learn more.
