For over 60 years, HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) has been a global advisor, thought leader and member-based society committed to reforming the global health ecosystem through the power of information and technology. As a mission-driven nonprofit with a community-centric approach, their innovation engine delivers key insights, education and engaging events to healthcare providers, payers, governments, startups, life sciences and other health services organizations, ensuring they have the right information at the point of decision.
The Event
The CXO Forum was a half day local chapter event focused on bringing together Health Tech leaders from the community to learn and collaborate. There were three expert panels comprised of 15 C-Level leaders and broken down into three focuses:
Health Tech Leadership
Health Tech Start Ups
Health Tech Clinical Impacts
The event also included a resume review, job search coaching, and post event social/ cocktail hour. The main goal of this annual event is to look forward into the new year, educate the community with expert insights, inspire continuous improvement and innovation, and build a strong and deeply valuable network withing the local Health Tech community.
My Role
I acted as the lead event planner and manager. I reported directly to the president and president elect of the chapter. My key responsibilities included:
Event planning and agenda creation
Oversight of panel recruiting and topics
Team coordination including marketing, sponsorship, vendor management
Vendor management and oversight
Content creation and messaging for marketing
